What is the origin of CreatedinFrance.com?

CreatedinFrance.com was launched in January 2002 with the purpose of actively assisting buyers, designers and galleries in their overseas research of creative and quality products and craftsmanship from France.
     

What makes this initiative different from any other e-business initiative I have seen on the Web?
- The suppliers have been selected for their capacity in creating and developing new concepts and products in decoration, giftware, artwork and special skills
- They represent the “French Touch” which has proven to be extremely popular at international fairs during the past few years
      

How many companies are on line?
There are about 202 members which has been finally selected by Ateliers d’Art de France for this project.
           

How were the applicants selected?
The most important factor we took into account was the ability to create new, original and genuine objects. Then we evaluated the applicants' ability to communicate with foreign buyers in english as well as their knowledge of export logistics and shipments. But creativity first!
          

Are all French craftsmen on CreatedinFrance.com?

We suggest you get directly in touch with the company, and negociate the terms and details of an order.
          

The English speaking person is not available and the guy on the phone does not understand a word of English. What should I do?
