In 1980, Michèle Amicel founded Prunelle, a crafts company located near Paris, specializing in comfortable and decorative materials for the home.
Our friezes are manufactured in the traditional style, produced in a very special way on embroidering looms dating back to 1888.
Prunelle has drawn on the past and on history, bringing up to date the embroidery of out grandmothers using noble and rugged materials such as linen and butter cloth.
Our friezes are ideal on a mantelpiece or are equally suitable for a linen cabinet or a kitchen dresser.
These friezes are used as a decorative application for products (aprons, working gloves and kitchen mitts, etc...).
They are also used for small sachets filled with lavender in provence gathered on the hillsides of Cannes and for sachets of Guérande Flower of salt from Brittany.
The designs often refer to ancient French legends or songs, particulary attractive to our regular customers.
